Visual Resources Curator
Under the general supervision of the Chair of the Department, the incumbent is responsible for the History of Art Department’s image services including: overseeing a collection of digital art data for both undergraduate and graduate teaching and research; providing ongoing technical leadership and support to the Department’s repositories, Federated Academic Digital Image System (FADIS), ArtStor, SharedShelf and related initiatives. In addition, the incumbent will provide support to the life cycle management of digital images including creation, description, storage, retrieval, and preservation; and overseeing the application of various metadata schema and standards, standards-driven digitization, web page development; as well as the use of a variety of computer software and/or hardware systems.
For Department special events/lectures, the incumbent will coordinate the provision of audio visual (AV) requirements and digital support; coordinate room bookings; create and produce marketing communication materials; and assist with editing the production of the departmental newsletter.
Pay Scale Group and Hiring Rate: USW Pay Band 11 — $60,687 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $77,607. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
