ARLIS/NA Ontario Chapter 2016 Spring Meeting

Spring Meeting – Hold the Date!

When: Friday, June 3rd, 2016

Where: The Musagetes Architecture Library at the University of Waterloo.

Let`s get out of town and have a lovely day visiting ARLIS/NA Ontario Chapter‘s
Effie Patelos,  Waterloo’s Architecture Librarian and Manager of the Musagetes Library.

We’ll have light refreshment, a tour of the facilities, a “show-and-tell” of some of the most interesting/beautiful/rare items from the collection, and learn about the resources available to students, faculty and architects. Located in downtown Cambridge, Ontario.
the Library is close to restaurants and pubs, a list of which will be provided. The Cambridge Mill is highly recommended as it offers stunning views of the Grand River and offers reasonably-priced fare.

No trip to Cambridge would be complete without a visit to “Canada’s Largest Antique Mall”, Southworks Antiques, and we’ll try to spend some quality time there in the afternoon before we leave.

TRANSPORTATION might be an issue for some, and we hope to coordinate rides for all who might need them.  If you think you might be driving, please let Margaret know: margaret.english@utoronto.ca   We might also rent a large passenger van.

The fee for this meeting is $15 for students (and that includes a 2016 membership to the Chapter!) and $25 for regular members.

Please RSVP to Margaret.

This is going to be informative and FUN, and we can’t wait to see you there.
