The ARLIS/NA Ontario Executive would like to take this opportunity to thank our members for their patience and understanding.  Our young executive is currently experiencing some growing pains as many of us are learning to navigate chapter duties with educational pursuits and growing careers.  For the silence and the delay, we sincerely apologize. With this said, we are looking forward by rescheduling our Spring Business Meeting to the new date of (to fill in when one is chosen by Monday).  We will be sending out location and times by this Friday, May 29. Conference Travel Award Winner

On a more positive note, the Executive would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Eva Athanasiu on being awarded this year’s Conference Travel Award.

Eva has been an exemplary representative of our organizations values. As a ARLIS/NAStudent Representative (UofT iSchool), she and her fellow representative Lauren Orav have organized a number of educational and inspiring tours including YYZ Artist’s Outlet and the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library. She has been a strong spokesperson for our chapter both with in her school and at this year’s Annual Conference in Fort Worth, Texas.  While attending the conference, Eva presented her paper Belonging: a brief study on artists’ books and institutional classification as part of the New Voices Panel.

Congratulations Eva! We look forward to hearing more about your great experiences at this years conference.
