Art Libraries Society of North America’s Ontario Chapter presents
“Social Media and Creative Research: A panel discussion between Artists and Information Professionals“
Save the date! On October 17, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., ARLIS/NA Ontario will hold a panel discussion at the Ontario College of Art and Design University. The event has been generously sponsored by OCAD University’s Dorothy H. Hoover library. More details to follow.
Titled “Social Media and Creative Research: A panel discussion between Artists and Information Professionals,” the session will delve into both the broad and minute aspects of creating and maintaining a social media presence for your library or organization. Furthermore, it hopes to address how these presences can be effectively used to reach out to artists, curators, students, art historians, enthusiasts, and the general public. The panel hopes to highlight both their own personal experiences – including both successes and failures – and offer strategies for continued outreach to a diverse audience.
The cost for the session will be $5.00 for ARLIS members and $10.00 for non-members. Student members can attend for free. If you’re a student but not a member? No problem! Get a membership and admission for $10.00.
Refreshments will be served.
We are also in need of student volunteers for the evening. This will, of course, include admission to the event. If you are interested, please e-mail ARLIS/ON Chair Melissa Bruno at melissbruno@gmail.com.
See you on October 17th!
