Call for Nominations for ARLIS/NA Ontario Vice-Chair

On behalf of the ARLIS/NA Ontario Executive, we would like to thank Effie Patelos for all her hard work, involvement, and contributions to the Chapter as 2013 Vice-Chair. Due to extenuating circumstances, Effie is stepping down from her position on the Executive Committee. Effie played a vital role over the past seven months, and her efforts have been instrumental in helping plan for the future of the Chapter, and society at large.

We are looking for members of ARLIS/NA Ontario who would like to serve on the 2013 Executive as Vice-Chair. A full description of the responsibilities of this Executive position can be found under the Chapter’s Bylaws which can be accessed here:http://arlison.org/about/bylaws/

 Please note the Terms of Office: The Vice-Chair position is a three year commitment. In 2013, the position is Vice-Chair. In 2014, the position moves to Chair of the Executive, and in 2015 the position becomes ex-officio.

The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, July 31 th at 5 PM.Once all the nominations have been received, the ARLIS/NA Ontario membership will vote on the candidates electronically via an anonymous ballot on SurveyMonkey.

Introducing the new 2013-2014 Student Representatives

On behalf on the ARLIS/NA Ontario Executive, we would like to thank the membership who took the time to vote for our impressive roster of candidates running for the 2013-2014 ARLIS/NA Ontario Student Representative positions.

The votes have been tallied, and we would like to officially welcome and introduce Catherine Falls as the Student Representative from the University of Toronto, and Nicole Lovenjak as the Student Representative from Western University.

The current ARLIS/NA Ontario Officers are thrilled to have both Catherine and Nicole on the 2013-2014 Executive Committee, and we look forward to planning the future of our Chapter together.
