ARLIS/NA Ontario Chapter Spring Business Meeting in London, Ontario!
Hello, colleagues! We look forward to seeing you and planning our chapter’s future together on Friday, March 8th, in London, Ontario. Your executive is excited to share with you new initiatives we’ve been working on. Our host, Pearl Santopinto, Information Services Librarian, London Public Library, has arranged an exciting day, visiting some of London’s distinguished historical and esteemed art venues! Highlights include tours of the London Public Library’s London Room; the largest Canadian ceramic gallery in the country, the Jonathon Bancroft-Snell Ceramic Gallery; and, Museum London, featuring a special exhibition curated by Cassandra Getty and Adam Lauder, Imaging Disaster. Lunch will be held at Museum London’s prestigious River Room (please let us know if you require any special dietary accommodations). The total cost for the Spring Meeting, including all the tours and lunch, is $25 for current ARLIS/NA Ontario Chapter members. A rough itinerary of the day’s events is as follows:
- 10:00 – 11:30 am: Business Meeting at the London Public Library (refreshments provided)
- 11:30 – 12:15 pm: Tour of the London Room with the London Room Librarian
- 12:30 – 1:00 pm: Tour of the Jonathon Bancroft-Snell Ceramic Gallery
- 1:15 – 2:30 pm: Lunch at the River Room, Museum London
- 2:30 – 3:30 pm: Tour of Museum London
A detailed schedule, full Business Meeting agenda, and location details including transportation and accommodation options will follow shortly.
The executive is currently looking into carpooling options for members commuting from the Greater Toronto Area. If you are interested in participating in the carpool, please contact Melissa Bruno, melissa.bruno@sympatico.ca, as soon as possible so we can make arrangements and determine estimated costs.
